All Hallows Eve has always been my only day to be able to "fit in" with the rest of the world known today. Whether I be a "freak", a "monster", whatever others would like to call me... in the words of the Crow... "Aren't we all?"
So, whatever we may be in the eyes of the world - us "freaks" to society... I wear My "colors" with pride. And to those others who do the same... cudos to all of you.
Last night was what in the 90's some called "The Devil's Night"... today is the day/night that worlds either come together for a day, or they collide for said day. So whatever it is that you prefer; gleam, shine, glow, or loom... let your colors stand tall for the night when the Spirits and Freaks reign.
It almost seems like it's been a lifetime since I've heard this song. But it always reminds me of one thing...

I'm sure we all deal with this one, at some point, but it's always a shock and a half, even when we're accustomed to "the usual shocks of life"...
You know that one individual in your own life (or lives) that never listens to a word you say, and then finally, for the first time, ever, they actually do listen to you, somewhat, and it basically makes your damn jaw drop to the floor? Well, that's what I just got done dealing with a little bit ago, tonight/this morning, and I have to say... Holy Fucking HELL. Granted, it's a massive weight off my back, for a change. But still, the simple fact that the number-one individual I have known, for the past twenty-seven or more years, who has never listened to a word I've said, and is always convinced he's right about everything, finally listens to me, even just a little bit...
I truly think that Hell either may have just frozen over, or is beginning to, because this one is truly a shock and a half. I've always been accustomed to this jackass constantly starting fights with me (hence, the reason I have always avoided him, if I can), and being consistently convinced that he's always right about everything. Sound a little familiar?
For once, I am actually in shock from this guy, because I'm not by any means accustomed to him, of all people, listening to me, even in the slightest. But then again, considering he seems to finally be coming to terms with the fact that he doesn't have much time left in this world, he may well finally be conceding a little bit. But on that one, who knows. I know that he still lives under one twisted conviction (which I'm not going to go into detail about, apart from to say that it's one of the biggest reasons I have been dealing with such insanity for the past twenty-plus years).
Yeah, pretty fucking much. That shit drives me damn well bat-shit to boot, too. Funny enough, this is also the same jackass who was asking me to take over this fucked up property when he dies, even knowing that I have no intention of living in this place.
